(As a co-author prepared a Country Monograph on Bangladesh -Innovative Community and Credit Systems for Low-Income Households assigned by ESCAP.)

Visited Egypt, Cairo and country side for Devising Credit Program for the Poor in the Light of Grameen Experience organized by UNICEF, Cairo from February 5 to 18 1992.

Participated and presented a paper at the International Congress on Financial Strategies for the Empowerment for People and Poor Communities organized by the Lutheran and Catholic Church of Germany and Lutheran Church of USA, February 5 to 8 1993 at the Evangelische Akademic, Loccum, Germany.

Participated and presented a paper at the International Conference of Mexico on Social Development and Poverty at the OAXACA City, Mexico, September 8-11, 1993.

Visited Cairo, Egypt and countryside for Advising Credit Program for the Poor in Light of Grameen Experience organized by Social Fund for Development (SFD), Govt. of Egypt from April 8-16, 1994.

Visited Cairo, Egypt and countryside for advising on Credit Program (Family Development Fund) for the Poor People in Egypt initiated by UNICEF, Cairo from April 17-23, 1994.

Attended an International Round Table “Women’s Economic Potential to Overcome Poverty in Preparation for the 4th World Conference on Women, Beijing, September 1995” in Bonn/Konigswinter, 27 to 30 November 1994.

Attended a National Seminar on “Community Based Housing Finance” in Ho chi Minh City, Vietnam on February 15-17, 1995 and Presented Paper on “Grameen Housing”.

Attended an International Round Table on “Promotion of the Private Sector and the Role of the Government in Bonn Godesberg -Germany, 6 to 9 February 1996”.

Attended a Non-Bank Financial Institutions Seminar in Accra, Ghana, March 25-29, 1996 and presented a paper on “Economic Potential to Overcome Poverty -The Grameen Bank Experience, Bangladesh.”

Visited the 4 (four) Grameen Bank Replication Projects in Philippines (CARD, TSPI, KMBI & FEED) on October 9-17, 1996 and evaluated those projects.

Attended the Micro-credit Summit held in Washington D.C, U.S.A. on February 2-4, 1997 and –

Acted as an organizer and moderator on the session titled “Establishing Management Information System to access the strength of our organization to effectively manage”.

Acted as a panelist and presented a paper on the session titled “The basics of designing a sustainable micro-credit program to serve very poor (a finding, training, setting appropriate interest rates, ensuring loan repayment, setting performance and impact standards, ensuring borrowers participation, establishing saving etc).

Acted as a panelist in the break out session titled “Creating a viable Grameen Branch” organized by Grameen Trust, Bangladesh during Micro-credit Summit in Washington DC.

Attended the “Asian Coalition for Housing Rights Regional Meeting and Building Regional Direction and Collaborative Working Process” in Menam Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand from April 17 – 20, 1998 and presented a paper on “Case Study of Tejkunipara Slum Improvement Project (A Joint Project of Coalition for Housing Rights, Bangladesh CHRB & Sheva) Tejkunipara, Dhaka, Bangladesh”.

Attended the Symposium “Social Development, Environment and Health” Organized by Japanese Association for International Health (JAIH), Tokyo, Japan on September 3-5, 1999, and Presented the Paper titled “How should we respond to the real request for our Tropical Medicine and International Health Cooperation in the 21st century”.

Attended as a main speaker in one day seminar on “micro-credit and the experience of Grameen Bank” at Nagoya NGO center, Nagoya, Japan on September 6, 1999.

Attended the Workshop “Essential for Scaling up of Operations in Micro Finance Institutions” Sponsored by GT-INDNET and hosted by People’s Institute for Development and Training (PIDT) held in New Delhi, India on November 18-22, 1999 and presented a paper on “Personnel Policies: Capacity Building: Experience of Grameen Bank”.
